Zurich Marriott Hotel
This was a category 8 hotel costing 40,000 pts/nt. We took advantage of Marriotts 5th night free policy which gives you the fifth night of an itinerary booked with points for no additional cost so the total cost for this stay was 160,000 points. This is a hefty sum, but the dollar cost per night was nearly $500/night so we got great value out of these points during our stay. Furthermore, I was Marriott Gold, giving us access to the lounge, including free breakfast, snacks and drinks. We were also upgraded to a room with a nicer view, but the room itself was standard and still very small. My biggest complaint was that the shower had no door, but a piece of glass that covered about half of the shower, meaning the floor became absolutely drenched in water each time someone took a shower.
